Brandon Nimmo Reaches Base Three More Times
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo reached base three times on two hits and a walk in the Mets' 8-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. Nimmo has been an on-base machine through the first three games of the season. He now boasts a .571 on-base percentage over 14 plate appearances. After batting eighth in the season opener, Nimmo has been at the top of the order for the past two games, and rightfully so. He should serve as a place setter for Francisco Lindor, Michael Conforto, and Pete Alonso throughout the 2021 season. Nimmo will have a tremendous opportunity to put up huge run totals in a loaded lineup, given this elite on-base skillset.
