Brandon Nimmo Out Wednesday
6 years agoThe day after he exited his club's game early with an oblique injury, New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo will sit out Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Nimmo was replaced by Juan Lagares in center field after sustaining what was originally described as "discomfort" of the oblique. Lagares will once again play in center field and bat eighth, while Jeff McNeil will start in left and Michael Conforto will play right. For the season, Nimmo is batting .209 with three home runs and eight RBI.
