Brandon Nimmo Day-To-Day With Bruised Quad
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (quad) has been diagnosed with a bruised right quad. According to Mets manager Buck Showalter, Nimmo is day-to-day. Nimmo suffered the injury in Game 2 of the team's doubleheader against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday after he fouled a ball off of his leg. After the game, Nimmo underwent X-rays that came back negative. He stated that his availability for Wednesday's game will depend on how he feels in the morning. This is all good news for fantasy managers as it appears Nimmo may not even miss a game due to this injury. The 29-year-old is off to a great start to the year, slashing .292/.397/.458 with three home runs, 12 RBI and 20 runs over 33 games.
