Brandon Marsh Re-Enters Starting Lineup Wednesday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh is back in the starting lineup Wednesday afternoon versus the visiting San Francisco Giants. Marsh didn't start Tuesday night's contest with the Giants but played a key role in his club's 4-3 win, notching a key pinch-hit single before scoring the game-winning run in walk-off fashion. The 25-year-old came out of the gate white-hot in April before cooling off in May but has once again caught fire at the plate lately, hitting .389 with a 1.061 OPS in seven games in the month of August. All told, Marsh is hitting a healthy .283 with eight home runs, seven stolen bases, and an .828 OPS across 103 games played on the campaign. He will hit eighth and take on Giants right-hander Alex Cobb Wednesday afternoon.
