Brandon Marsh In Phillies Lineup For Game 1
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh is in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, batting ninth and manning center field. Marsh and Matt Vierling have formed a platoon this postseason, with Marsh handling duties against righties. He hasn't exactly shined this postseason, with a slash line of .154/.214/.346, although he did hit a clutch three-run homer in the clinching game of the NLDS against Atlanta. With Marsh starting, Vierling will begin the game on the bench. He has been used as both a pinch-hitter and a defensive replacement this postseason, though, so there's a good chance he gets into the game at some point.
