Brandon Marsh Begins Rehab Assignment
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Brandon Marsh (shoulder) started a minor league rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday. Marsh has been out for around a month with shoulder inflammation, but he went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in his first rehab game over the weekend. The Angels top prospect had just 13 hits in 63 at-bats (.183) with a home run and two RBI in 16 games for Triple-A Salt Lake before his injury, and he still has something to prove before he'll be a consideration for a call-up in the second half of 2021. The 23-year-old makes consistent hard contact and gets on base often and is beginning to tap into more of his raw power. Marsh also has the ability to stick in center field long term, but a corner outfield spot is more likely with Mike Trout around.
