Brandon Lowe Hits 35th Home Run Wednesday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Houston Astros. In the second inning, he hammered a two-run shot off Astros pitcher Luis Garcia to extend the Rays lead 3-0. It was his 35th long ball of the season. The 27-year-old is starting to heat up and has now logged multi-hit efforts in three straight games. Lowe is slashing .243/.337/.503 with 35 home runs, 90 RBI, 93 runs scored, and seven stolen bases over 602 plate appearances in 2021. Fantasy managers should continue to start Lowe the rest of the season as he emerges as one of the top power-hitting infielders in the game.
