Brandon Kintzler Has Successful Bullpen Session
6 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Brandon Kintzler (forearm) had a successful bullpen session on Wednesday in which he threw all fastballs. He will mix in offspeed pitches on Friday in another bullpen session. The good news is that the tightness in his forearm is gone, and if he can get by without any setbacks on Friday, he'll likely be activated from the disabled list this weekend. The right-hander was 1-2 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and two saves in 28 1/3 innings before his injury, but he loses some of his luster in holds leagues with Kelvin Herrera now the main eighth-inning setup man in D.C.
