Brandon Johnson Leads Broncos In Receiving Against Raiders
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Johnson had four receptions on five targets for a team-high 88 receiving yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in the Week 18 regular season finale. Johnson was utilized more in the final few weeks of the year with Courtland Sutton suffering a concussion in Week 16 and with the Broncos benching quarterback Russell Wilson for the final two games due to financial reasons. The 25-year-old pass-catcher concludes his second year in the NFL with 19 catches on 30 targets for 284 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games played. Unless the Broncos decide to trade one of Sutton or Jerry Jeudy this offseason, Johnson will most likely enter his third NFL season as valuable receiving depth for Denver and off the fantasy radar. The Broncos will also have a big question mark under center if they cut ties with Russell Wilson in March, as expected.

Brandon Johnson Leads Broncos Wideouts, Scores Deep Touchdown
7 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Johnson had a nice day at the office in the team's 38-12 blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals at Empower Field in Sunday's preseason finale. Johnson caught both of his targets in the contest for a team-high 83 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown came on a 46-yard bomb from quarterback Zach Wilson in the fourth quarter. The 26-year-old third-year pass-catcher also hauled in a 37-yard pass from Wilson a quarter earlier. Even with Johnson's big game to close out the preseason, he isn't guaranteed a spot on the final 53-man roster heading into the regular season. He's been competing with rookies Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele for the No. 5 role this summer after catching 19 of his 30 targets for 284 yards and four touchdowns for the Broncos in 13 games (two starts) in 2023.

Brandon Johnson In Line For Bigger Role In Week 17
1 year agoWith Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (concussion) ruled out for Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers and with Jerry Jeudy (illness) and rookie Marvin Mims Jr. (hamstring) questionable to play, pass-catcher Brandon Johnson will inevitably have a bigger role in the passing game on Sunday. The 25-year-old has only 11 catches on the year for 169 yards, but he's managed to find the end zone four times, including one in the Christmas Eve loss to the New England Patriots after Sutton suffered a concussion. Fantasy managers in standard-sized leagues will probably want to stay away from the Broncos' offense this week despite an excellent matchup. However, Johnson could be busy in a matchup against a Bolts defense that has allowed the third-most half-PPR points per game (33.4) to opposing receivers this year.

Brandon Johnson Activated From Injured Reserve
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Johnson (hamstring) has been activated from the injured reserve on Saturday. Johnson has been sidelined since Week 8, but appears ready to get back on the field. Before going down, Johnson had eight receptions, for 122 yards, and three touchdowns. The expectation is that he'll slide behind Marvin Mims Jr. on the depth chart. It's uncertain what kind of role Johnson is going to have during his first game back. That being said, Johnson won't be worth a look in most fantasy formats for the Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Brandon Johnson Practices Fully On Wednesday
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Johnson (hamstring) practiced fully on Wednesday. Johnson has been on injured reserve since injuring his hamstring back in Week 8 but he was designated to return on Wednesday. His ability to practice fully upon returning is a good sign as the Broncos gear up to face the Houston Texans in Week 13. Denver has three weeks to officially activate Johnson from injured reserve.
