Los Angeles Lakers small forward/shooting guard Brandon Ingram scored 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the floor and 2-for-3 from the three-point line in Friday night's victory over the Jazz. The 6-foot-9 wing contributed six rebounds and two steals as well as a season high tying six turnovers. The game marked the second time this season that the 21-year-old failed to register an assist. He did, however, set season marks for most free throws made (six) and free throws attempted (10). Ingram, who has three 20-point games this season, will look to extend his streak of consecutive double-figure scoring efforts to 10 against the Magic on Sunday. The former Duke Blue Devil produced 17 points, seven assists along with six caroms in the team's previous meeting this year.--Daniel Benjamin

Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) will not make his debut for the team anytime soon. Sportsnet's Michael Grange has reported that Ingram isn't projected to be back for at least a month. The former All-Star has suited up for only 18 games in 2024-25 due to a high-grade left low ankle sprain suffered on Dec. 7, making this essentially a lost season for Ingram, even when he eventually comes back. After acquiring him from the New Orleans Pelicans, the Raptors inked a three-year, $120 million contract extension with Ingram, a significant show of confidence for a player with a lengthy injury history. It remains to be seen if the investment pays off and how well Ingram meshes with current team leaders Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Toronto Raptors and forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) agreed to a three-year, $120 million extension on Tuesday. Ingram was recently traded from the Pelicans to the Raptors in exchange for Bruce BrownKelly Olynyk and multiple draft picks, including a first-rounder. The 27-year-old hasn't played since Dec. 7 after suffering an ankle injury, and there isn't a timetable set on when he will make his debut as a Raptor.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

The Toronto Raptors have acquired forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans. In return, the Pelicans received guard/forward Bruce Brown, forward/center Kelly Olynyk, one first-round pick, and one second-round selection. Ingram is a pending unrestricted free agent and hasn't seen the court since Dec. 7 due to an ankle injury. He played six seasons in New Orleans, becoming an All-Star in 2020. However, health issues have often held Ingram back, and it remains to be seen how big of an impact he can make on a Raptors team that already includes plenty of scoring talent.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This comes as little of a surprise considering Ingram hasn't played in a game since early December. Ingram is working his way back from a left ankle sprain that is likely going to keep him sidelined for at least a few more games. He reportedly hasn't been cleared for contact drills yet, so it doesn't appear that Ingram is on the verge of a return. He remains without a timetable to return and should be considered week-to-week right now. Trey Murphy III has been playing big minutes in the rotation and that should continue until Ingram is back in the mix.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
