2 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Brandon Hughes picked up his sixth save of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Marlins. Hughes entered to pitch the ninth inning up by one. He allowed a leadoff double, but then got the next three hitters out on a strikeout, flyout, and line out to end the game. The 26-year-old has pitched well out of the bullpen this season with a 3.19 ERA over 53 2/3 innings pitched. However, three different Cubs relievers have earned saves over the last seven days, so Hughes' current fantasy value is limited to deep roto leagues for fantasy managers chasing saves.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
