Brandon Drury To Focus On Third Base
7 years agoWhile New York Yankees infielder Brandon Drury’s ability to play both second and third base has been well documented, the prevailing thought was that he would settle at third base with the New York Yankees. This, of course, is considering the fact that top shortstop prospect Gleyber Torres is poised to take over at second. On Wednesday, general manager Brian Cashman confirmed this, stating the 25-year-old Drury will primarily focus on third base. Drury was acquired by the Yankees on Tuesday in a three-team deal involving the Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Rays. He will seemingly face off with Miguel Andujar for the starting spot, with Tyler Wade, Danny Espinosa and Jace Peterson also in the hunt.
