Brandon Drury Not Expected To Be Out Long
7 years agoAfter x-rays on Brandon Drury's elbow came back negative, the New York Yankees are not altering their plans for third base with days to go before the season starts. The club has officially listed him as day-to-day, with manager Aaron Boone stating that a roster move will not be made. As a result, look for Ronald Torreyes, Tyler Wade and Neil Walker as possible replacements for the former Diamondbacks player. Drury, 25, was acquired by the Yankees earlier this offseason as a clear option to start at third base. Last season in Arizona, he hit .267 with 13 home runs and 63 RBI in 135 games.
