Brandon Drury Exits After Being Hit By Pitch
3 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop/third baseman Brandon Drury (knee) exited Sunday's spring game after being hit in the knee by a pitch. We'll see shortly if the injury is significant enough to cost him time with Spring Training winding down. The 29-year-old is competing for a backup role with the team as Mike Moustakas is slotted in at third base with Kyle Farmer at shortstop. Drury has had a nice spring so far, slashing .308/.438/.692 with one home run and two doubles over 16 plate appearances. This is his first year in the Reds organization after he spent the 2021 campaign with the New York Mets.
