3 years agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (wrist) sat out Wednesday's game due to a wrist injury he suffered on Tuesday. However, he's back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. He's hitting fifth in the game and covering his usual shortstop post. The 35-year-old veteran came out of nowhere to have the best offensive year of his career last year. Over 139 games, he slashed .298/.373/.522 with 24 home runs, 11 stolen bases and 90 RBI. He's off to a slow start to the 2022 season as he's gone just 3-for-16 with no extra-base hits. We'll see if he can start channelling that 2021 magic again soon.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
