Brandon Belt Smashes A Solo Blast Wednesday
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays designated hitter Brandon Belt was 2-for-4 with a solo homer against the Astros in a 3-2 win on Wednesday. Belt blasted a home run into the second deck off a pitch from Houston's hurler Ronel Blanco. His second hit was a single off Bryan Abreu in the eighth frame. The 35-year-old left-handed hitter is displaying the power absent in 2022, slashing .268/.385/.444 with four homers in 142 plate appearances. His four dingers this season have come in the last seven contests. For a fantasy manager looking to add some power to their lineup, the veteran Belt may be worth watching as his offensive output continues to increase.
