Brandon Belt Exits Game Early On Tuesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt exited Tuesday's game after swinging at a pitch in the ninth inning, according to Maria Guardado of MLB.com. She adds that Belt was seen grimacing after taking a big swing, as it appears that the side issue that had kept Belt out of the lineup for seven of the team's last nine games entering Tuesday may have crept back up on him. If it is the side bothering him again, it's possible that we could see him land on the injured list shortly. He's been having a solid year at the plate when healthy, slashing .234/.353/.486 with eight home runs, two steals, 21 RBI and 17 runs scored over 39 games. Managers should prepare for him to potentially miss an extended period of time.
