3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) was activated from the injured list on Thursday, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Belt has been sidelined since late June with right knee inflammation after suffering the injury on an awkward slide into home. He'd been limited by several injuries this year, but when he was on the field he's put up solid results, slashing .253/.363/.512 with 11 homers, three steals, 28 RBI and 30 runs scored over 55 games. He's getting the start at first against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, and will bat seventh against Arizona starter Merrill Kelly.--Michael
