Brandon Barriera Leaves Minor League Start With Apparent Injury
8 months agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Brandon Barriera (arm) had to be removed from his start in Single-A Dunedin on Saturday after sustaining an apparent arm injury. The lefty threw a pitch in the second inning, then walked back over the back of the mound and threw the ball down at the ground in disgust before crouching down in pain. The 20-year-old is the Blue Jays' No. 4 ranked prospect and was Toronto's first-round pick in the 2022 draft. This news won't affect fantasy managers in 2024 but if those in dynasty leagues may want to keep an eye on Barriera's diagnosis in the coming days.
