Brandon Aubrey In Line To Be Cowboys Kicker
1 year agoAfter the Dallas Cowboys cut Tristan Vizcaino, Brandon Aubrey looks like he is set to be the Cowboys kicker in 2023. Jerry Jones praised him, saying, "He's having a real solid camp. We're very comfortable going into the season with him." Aubrey made 7-of-9 field goal attempts on Monday, missing from 43 yards and 44. He is 26-for-35 over the whole training camp. The 28-year-old played in the United Soccer League in 2017 and 2018 and played for the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL in 2022. As the Stallions' kicker, he made 35-of-35 extra-point attempts and 14-of-15 field goals. He went 6-of-6 on kicks between 40 and 49 yards, including making a 49-yarder, and his only miss was on a kick over 50 yards.
