Brandon Aiyuk Dealing With Mild Hamstring Strain
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) left this past Sunday's practice with a hamstring injury and has yet to return to the field. Head coach Kyle Shanahan recently gave an update on the rookie receiver, saying that he is dealing with a mild hamstring strain and that he is week-to-week at this point. There appears to be a decent chance that Aiyuk will be sidelined for the remainder of training camp, putting his status for Week 1 very much in question. Aiyuk was a first-round pick of the 49ers this year and is an intriguing fantasy sleeper, especially with Deebo Samuel (foot) nursing a broken foot. However, this setback makes Aiyuk more difficult to trust, as he'll miss out on some valuable training camp repetitions. He's an OK target in the last few rounds of deep leagues, but in shallow leagues, he can go undrafted at this point.
