Brandon Aiyuk Should Deliver Solid Numbers In Week 16
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has seen a whopping 29 targets over his past two games. Over that stretch, he's caught 19 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. This week, as the 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals, Aiyuk will be catching passes from the team's third-string quarterback C.J. Beathard with Nick Mullens (arm) out for the year. The dropoff from Mullens to Beathard might be somewhat negligible. Aiyuk should still see a sturdy amount of targets as the team's No. 1 receiver, but what might cap his upside a bit is if George Kittle (foot) returns this week. Regardless, Aiyuk has been too good lately to get away from. He should be started in all leagues as a strong WR2 play in Week 16.
