2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk does not project as a top 36 WR in his Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The matchup is moderately difficult. The Rams have a top tier defense, but their defense excels against the run and has vulnerabilities against the pass. Except for Jalen Ramsey, Aiyuk matches up well against the other Rams cornerbacks. The 24-year-old WR went for 107 yards against LA in Week 18 of 2021. The questionable QB situation in San Fran, however, makes Aiyuk a WR to avoid. Only 68.0% of Jimmy Garoppolo's passes have been judged "on target" by Pro Football Reference, 13.5 points lower than last season. Garoppolo's inaccuracy is one reason that even with eight targets, Aiyuk only came away with three receptions last week. If Garoppolo steps up his game, Aiyuk might go off, but fantasy managers are taking a risk if they start him.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
