Brandin Cooks Tallies Team-High 132 Receiving Yards
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks caught five of seven targets for 132 receiving yards in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. Cooks enjoyed some excellent games against Jacksonville's secondary last year and the opening game of this season was no different, as he torched the Jaguars. The veteran wideout connected with Tyrod Taylor on a couple of deep balls, one for 52 yards and the other for 40, showing off a nice connection with his new signal-caller. The Texans don't have the most impressive wide receiver room, meaning Cooks should see a heavy dose of targets each week. He'll be a fringe WR2/3 for a Week 2 matchup against Cleveland, who allowed 197 yards and a score to Tyreek Hill in Week 1.
