Brandin Cooks Should Remain A Target Hog Against Panthers
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks has dominated the team's target share through the first two weeks of play. Cooks saw a whopping 50 percent of his team's targets in a Week 2 loss to the Browns, hauling in nine receptions for 78 yards and a score. The 27-year-old wideout gets a slight downgrade in value, given that he'll now be catching passes from rookie Davis Mills, who will be making his first career start Thursday against Carolina- though the volume he's projected to see should make up for any inefficiency. The Panthers defense has been stingy against the pass so far, allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts. However, fantasy managers should continue to rely on Cooks as a high-volume WR3 option.
