Brandin Cooks Expected To Play Against Colts
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (illness), who was listed as questionable to play in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts with a non-COVID-19-related illness, is expected to play on Sunday, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly. Cooks returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the previous days. He leads the team with 62 catches for 704 yards and three touchdowns, and despite some quiet weeks recently, he should remain heavily involved against the Colts this weekend. The 28-year-old caught nine passes for 89 yards on 13 targets in the Week 6 loss to Indy. Cooks is tied for 12th in the NFL with Michael Pittman Jr. in targets (91) through 12 weeks, so he'll be a WR2 yet again for the volume alone.
