Branden Grace Hangs On For Top 25 At U.S. Open
6 years agoBranden Grace entered the final round of the U.S. Open only four shots off the lead, but the South African went the wrong way Sunday. Grace shot a 5-over 75 on a tough Shinnecock Hills course and fell to a final score of 12-over par for the tournament. The score left Grace in a tie for 25th place. Though the finish was very respectable, Grace had the opportunity to grab a much higher spot on the leaderboard. This marks the second top 25 in a major this year for the veteran. Grace is not in the field for this week's Travelers Championship. He will be a serious contender at the Open Championship next month.
