Brady Singer Pitches A Gem On Thursday
4 years agoKansas City Royals rookie pitcher Brady Singer had the best outing of his young career against the Cleveland Indians on Thursday. Singer took a no-hitter into the eighth inning of the game as he baffled Indians hitters all day long. Austin Hedges broke up the no-hitter with a single and Singer's final line was eight innings, one hit, two walks, no runs and eight strikeouts. Singer threw a career-high 119 pitches in the game, 80 of which were strikes. In his previous eight starts this year, Singer had never made it to the end of the sixth inning and he had given up at least two earned runs in each start. This game could have been a turning point for the youngster and he's worth adding in most fantasy leagues in case he can build on this outing. His next start is slated for Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers.
