Braden Holtby To Start Second Half Of Back-To-Back
7 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby will get a chance at redemption on Friday as the Caps play their second half of a home-and-home series against the New York Islanders. The last month has not been kind to the Holtbeast, as he's posted an .858 save percentage in the last 30 days with a single win to show for it. As a result, backup Philipp Grubauer has started the majority of games recently, but Holtby will get another shot to prove his worth. His last three Vezina-worthy seasons leaves the impression that he can turn things around just in time for the playoffs.
