Braden Holtby In For Game 3 Against Blue Jackets
7 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby will start his first game of the postseason Tuesday night as the Caps visit the Columbus Blue Jackets for Game 3. The Caps are going into enemy territory in an 0-2 hole and will need their best players to shine, including their 2016 Vezina winner. Holtby stopped seven of eight shots in relief of Philipp Grubauer during Game 2's 5-4 overtime loss and will look to take back the starting job Tuesday, even if it only means playing one more game. The Holtbeast has had his worst regular season in his career this year with a .907 save percentage and 2.99 goals-against average. We'd like to believe Holtby is better than those numbers and will hopefully prove us right in the Caps most dire game of the 2017-18 season.
