Braden Holtby Extends Winning Streak To Five Games
6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby tallied his fifth consecutive win on Thursday, stopping 33 of 34 shots in a 2-1 success over Montreal. The Caps clinched the Metro division title with Lars Eller and Nic Dowd providing the goals. Shea Weber was the only one to beat Holtby and he did it on a power play near the end of the first period. Holtby has allowed just 1.60 goals per game in his last five appearances, producing a .947 save percentage. He has a 32-19-5 record for the season with a 2.82 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
