6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Brad Miller had a good game Wednesday versus Washington. He would go 3-for-4 and scored a run. However, the news broke that super prospect Jake Bauers will be called up before the game Thursday. Common practice suggests that such a valuable prospect would not be called up unless they planned to play him often. Bauers plays the same position as Miller and bats from the same side of the plate. To make it worse for Miller, Bauers is considered a much better defender. Nothing is set in stone as of Wednesday night, but there is reason for concern for owners of Miller.--Jamie Mellor
