Brad Miller Will Possibly Play Rehab Game Tuesday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Brad Miller will test out his groin and if all goes well, he will play a minor league rehab game Tuesday. If all goes well in the game and he feels OK in the days after, he could be activated and be part of the Rays on Friday. The plan before Miller was injured was that left-handed C.J. Cron and right-handed Brad Miller would split time. It has been noted previously that Miller could play some second base on certain occasions to get both of their bats in the lineup. He is most likely a deep league option that merely has the temptation of the specter of a return to his 30 home runs of 2016, but his early results in 2018 suggest he may have upside. Luckily, Cron has not run away with the job.
