Brad Miller Looked Good Monday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Brad Miller was praised by manager Kevin Cash Monday. Cash said that the best part of spring training Monday was "seeing a healthy Brad Miller take BP and hit with power." Miller shocked everyone by slugging 30 homers in 2016, but he was a massive fantasy disappointment last season and played in just 110 games due to injury while posting a career-low .337 slugging percentage with a terrible .201 average. Injuries may have been mostly to blame. One key factor in his value will be what positions he will be eligible for. If he retains second base eligibility, he'll mainly be attractive for middle infield depth at second base in AL-only leagues in 2018. Otherwise, his value may get swallowed up in the crowd at first base.
