Brad Miller Leading Off For Rangers On Opening Day
3 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Brad Miller is slotting in as the team's leadoff hitter for Opening Day against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. The 32-year-old inked a contract with the Rangers last month. He spent the 2021 season with the Philadelphia Phillies and slashed .227/.321/.453 with 20 home runs, 49 RBI and 53 runs over 140 games. He'll be hitting in front of fellow newly-acquired Rangers Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, who are slotting in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the batting order, respectively, on Friday. If Miller can hold down the leadoff spot, he could prove to be a strong source of runs in 2022, but we expect the Rangers to play around with their lineup a good amount in the coming weeks as the roster has so many new additions.
