Brad Miller In The Running At Both First and Second Base
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brad Miller could be in the running at either first base or second base. The general manager of the Rays went on the radio that they had an "open mind" when figuring out the right side of the infield. It was also noted that Miller would be in the running at either first or second base. Miller shocked everyone by slugging 30 homers in 2016, but he was a massive fantasy disappointment last season and played in just 110 games due to injury while posting a career-low .337 slugging percentage with a terrible .201 average. Injuries may have been mostly to blame, but Miller also lost shortstop eligibility, meaning he'll mainly be attractive for middle infield depth at second base in AL-only leagues in 2018. The best outcome for his owners would be him gaining eligibility at both first and second base, adding positional flexibility.
