7 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Brad Miller drove in two runs Saturday versus Boston. His first-inning double gave the Rays a 2-0 lead before the Red Sox would hammer Jake Faria and put the game away with eight runs in the first two innings. Lefthanded C.J. Cron and righthanded Brad Miller will split time. It has been noted previously that Miller could play some second base on certain occasions to get both of their bats in the lineup. He is most likely a deep league option that merely has the temptation of the specter of a return to his 30 home runs of 2016 but his early results in 2018 suggest he may have upside.--Jamie Mellor
