He exited the action after absorbing a hit from Penguins defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph. Marchand was limited to only three shifts and 2:18 of ice time in the game. The Bruins captain had a slow start to the year but has put together another fine season, scoring 21 goals and 47 points in 61 games. Boston returns to action on Sunday against the Minnesota Wild, with Marchand at risk of missing his first game of the season.
