According to Mark Lazerus, Boston Bruins winger Brad Marchand may have dodged a bullet after colliding with Chicago Blackhawks forward Anthony Duclair during the match between the two teams on Saturday afternoon. Marchand had made a sharp turn toward Duclair during the play and appeared to be avoiding the young Blackhawk as much as possible but ended up striking him high regardless. Had any other player been involved in the incident, the possibility of a suspension for the play probably wouldn’t have been mentioned. Marchand, however, has a reputation within the NHL for being a bit of a dirty player, even though he has established himself as an elite forward over the past two seasons. The Bruins left winger recorded two assists in the match, earning his 69th point this season in 53 games played. The Bruins and Marchand, barring a surprise suspension, return to action to close out their home-and-home series with the Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon.--Alex McKenzie
