Brad Keselowski At Bristol: "I Have No Idea What's Going On"
2 months agoTires are a big topic of conversation at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, as the NASCAR Cup Series teams dealt with some major falloff in the spring race here earlier this season. That problem wasn't one that revealed itself in the two previous Next Gen races at this track, though, so teams were thrown through quite a loop. This weekend, it appears as though falloff won't be as big of an issue. When interviewed after practice on Friday, Brad Keselowski remarked, "I have no idea what's going on. We went from not thinking we could make 40 laps to thinking we could run 1,000 laps on tires. I don't think anyone knows what's going on yet." Keselowski is currently on the bubble in the playoffs standings, entering Saturday night's race at 12 points below the cut line. The good news is that Kez has been strong at Bristol in the Next Gen era, with finishes of third, eighth, and 13th on his record. He qualified back in 23rd for this weekend's Bass Pro Shops Night Race, so Keselowski should be a strong Place Differential play in DFS contests.
