Brad Keller Throws Seven Shutout Innings
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Brad Keller certainly handled his first Opening Day with aplomb. Keller mowed down White Sox left and right, tossing seven shutout innings and allowing just two hits. Keller struck out five and walked one over the course of the outing, and he never really had to deal with any troublesome situations. Keller's strong performance helped put the Royals over .500 for the first time since August of 2017. Unfortunately, from a fantasy standpoint, Keller still remains a difficult guy to trust. He showed signs of improvement in his swinging strikes towards the end of last season, but it'll take a couple starts to tell if that's really stuck for this year. That's why he's only owner in 20% of Yahoo leagues for the time being.
