Brad Hand Takes Loss Against Indians
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Brad Hand suffered the loss for his club in Monday's 5-2 extra-inning affair with the Indians. Hand entered the 10th with a runner on second and he began the frame with a wild pitch and a single before giving up a two-run homer to Jose Ramirez. The veteran has now given up at least one run in each of his appearances with his new team since getting acquired at the trade deadline, but with the Jays lacking left-hand help and experience in the pen, he should continue to work high-leverage situations. Manager Charlie Montoyo has mixed and matched roles at the back-end of the pen before so Hand could run into a few saves in Toronto, but Jordan Romano remains the favorite moving forward.
