Brad Hand Picks Up Save In Second Straight Game
7 years agoSan Diego Padres closer Brad Hand collected his second save in as many nights on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Hand relinquished a hit but his outing appeared effortless. He induced a Nolan Arenado double play after allowing a leadoff single then retired Trevor Story on a weak liner to end the game. Hand threw only 10 pitches to complete the inning and could be available if needed Wednesday. Now with a 2.57 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and saves in his last three chances, the early-season alarm bells have quieted.
