Brad Hand Locks Down 20th Save
3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Brad Hand locked down his 20th save of the year Tuesday, pitching a clean ninth inning against the Miami Marlins. He struck out one batter. Hand has been very solid all year, but he's been especially excellent in his last 15 games, allowing just two runs with 10 saves and 17 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings. As the Nationals are now beginning to hit, save opportunities should be in greater supply, and Hand's value should continue to climb.
