Brad Brach Earns Ninth Save Of Season
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Brad Brach earned his ninth save of the season Tuesday in a 2-1 game against the Mets. Brach gave up no runs on no hits and a walk in the ninth inning. The righty has now gone 10 straight outings without allowing an earned run. Brach is nine of 10 in save opportunities with a 3.27 ERA, 25 strikeouts, and 12 walks in 22 innings pitched. He has done well in the closer's role this season, but with Darren O'Day potentially returning to the bullpen Thursday and Zach Britton working his way back in rehab assignments, Brach's role as closer may become uncertain in the not-too-distant future.
