3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott may have fallen to third on the running back depth chart and is likely no longer a fantasy option in most formats. Miles Sanders is the clear starter in the Eagles backfield, although the team has made it clear that they don't want to use him as an every-down back. The real issue for Scott is rookie Kenneth Gainwell. Gainwell was considered by many scouts to be the best pass-catching back available in the draft. That seems to be the role he'll play in the Eagles backfield, leaving little for Scott besides change-of-pace duties. Scott should not be in any starting lineups for Week 1 and should really only be on rosters with Miles Sanders in the starting RB spot.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
