Red Sox Avoid Arbitration With Rafael Devers
2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have avoided arbitration with third baseman Rafael Devers, the team announced in a tweet on Tuesday. The American League East club tweeted the following: "The #RedSox today have agreed to terms with Rafael Devers on a one-year contract for the 2023 season, thus avoiding salary arbitration." One of fantasy baseball's best hitters and best third baseman, Devers enjoyed a strong 2022 season at the plate. The 25-year-old hit .295 last year with a .358 on-base percentage in 614 plate appearances. He also added 27 home runs and three stolen bases in the process. He's hit at least .279 with a minimum of 27 home runs in each of his last three full seasons.
