Boone Jenner Ready For Season Debut Against Blackhawks
15 seconds agoColumbus Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner (shoulder) is expected to make his season debut on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The veteran has yet to suit up for the Blue Jackets in 2024-25 due to shoulder surgery. Jenner will link up with Cole Sillinger and Kent Johnson on the second line. He will also work with the second power-play unit. While Jenner is not known as a prolific scorer, he has three consecutive 20-goal seasons under his belt and wrapped up last season with 35 points (22 goals, 13 assists) in 58 appearances. Additionally, the 31-year-old adds physicality to the lineup. Jenner has averaged 2.26 hits per game for his career. The Columbus attack will also have Kirill Marchenko (jaw) back on Saturday following his three-game absence.
