Xander Bogaerts Will Start After Twisting Ankle
5 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (ankle) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies after twisting his ankle in Tuesday's 3-2 loss. Although he played all nine innings, he was seen with his ankle wrapped after the game concluded, leaving his status in question for Wednesday. Luckily for those who own the All-Star shortstop, Bogaerts will be in the game against lefty Drew Smyly, who sports a 7.09 ERA this season. Hitting .338 since the All-Star break, Bogaerts should have a good day against the Phillies.
