Bobby Witt Jr. Remains Out On Tuesday
2 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (hamstring) will miss his second consecutive game on Tuesday as the team takes on left-hander Jose Suarez and the Los Angeles Angels. Nicky Lopez will be handling shortstop duties once again for the game. Witt exited this past Sunday's contest with hamstring tightness. The injury flared up while he was stealing second base in the game. All indications are that the injury is minor and he remains day-to-day at this point. The 22-year-old rookie has slashed .258/.301/.459 with 14 home runs, 20 stolen bases, 51 RBI and 51 runs across 91 games on the year.
